Arriving into Brisbane International Airport

Airport Transfers

The cost for airport transfers from Brisbane Airport to *Brisbane City and return from *Brisbane City to Brisbane Airport will be approximately $95 depending on the location of the drop off/ pick up location.

The sedan can fit two people and two pieces of luggage. This cost includes the airport and road tolls. Please note that you are responsible to cover the cost and you will be provided the exact amount closer to the congress dates.

*Brisbane City includes South Bank.

To book for airport transfers, you may do so during the registration process. If you are already registered for the congress, please use the link on your registration confirmation email to add the transfer service. Please contact Lucy if you have any issues.

Airtrain

Airtrain is the fast and stress free way to travel from Brisbane Airport. In 20 minutes you will travel directly to the heart of Brisbane’s CBD. 

Finding an Airtrain Station

FREE* return journey
  • At the International Terminal, take the travellator or lift to Level 3 of the Terminal building and follow the signs to the station.
  • From the Domestic Terminal, make your way out to the front of the building and take the Skywalk across to the station.
  • South Brisbane station is located just 378 metres from the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre. For those unfamiliar with Brisbane, you can use our online journey planner to map out your journey.
Shuttle Bus

If you’re looking for a door to door transfer to and from Brisbane Airport, consider using the Con-x-ion shuttle bus transfer service.

Con-x-ion operates from both Terminals with a pick and drop off service that goes door-to-door to dozens of locations around Brisbane.

Tickets can be purchased online or at the sales kiosk at each Terminal. To book visit the Con-X-ion website.

Where to find Con-x-ion?
International Terminal: Meet your transfer at the Visitor Information desk in the International Terminal.
Domestic Terminal: Meet your transfer outside on the forecourt towards the Virgin end of the Terminal.

Uber

Ride sharing services such as Uber are available at Brisbane Airport and all around the city and surrounds.

Domestic Terminal
Uber & Ride share pick up is on the central road between taxi pick up and passenger pick up and drop off, either side of the Skywalk. Upon exiting the Terminal, cross two crossings to find it. View the location on a map.

International Terminal
From Level 2, at the southern end of the Terminal (towards the city), follow the Ride Booking signs down the ramp to the pick up area. View the location on a map.

What does it cost?
You can use Uber’s fare estimator to work out the cost of your trip. Please note that a fee of $4.00 is added to your fare if you’re using a Ride Share service from the airport.

Taxi

Taxis are available 24/7 from sheltered ranks right outside the Domestic and International Terminals. During peak times, Kerbside Officers are on hand to assist.

At the Domestic Terminal, the taxi rank is located centrally in the front of the Terminal building.
At the International Terminal, you will find the cab rank at the northern end of the Terminal, through the doors and out to the left.

Black & White Cabs: 13 22 22
Yellow Cabs: 13 19 24

Passengers can expect to pay $45 – $55 (one way for a trip from the airport to Brisbane City). Outside of peak periods, it is approximately a 20 minute drive from the airport to the city.

Car Hire at the Airport

Brisbane Airport offers a range of rental car services. You’ll find the car rental desks for Avis, Budget, Europcar, Hertz, Enterprise Holdings and Thrifty located:

Domestic Terminal
On Level 1, near baggage claim at both the Virgin and Qantas ends of the Terminal.

International Terminal
On Level 2, behind Spoon Cafe.
